The name of the association is the Swedish Syrian Center

Founded in 2014, the association is a social, cultural, and humanitarian organization that aims to work for Syrians living in the city of Göteborg in western Sweden. The association works on organizing recreational activities (sports, cultural activities) for children, youth and retirees and to help Syrians in the homeland and diaspora, in addition to strengthening Relations and ties in Sweden between Syrians living in Sweden on the one hand, and the Swedish society on the other.

The organization is non-partisan and non-religious. The association’s values ​​are based on the principle of democracy and non-discrimination. The association’s activities permeate the belief in the rule of democratic law in the future in Syria where human rights are respected and fulfilled. The association’s activities are conducted in a spirit of respecting each other’s opinions and facing exclusion and oppression.
